Joe Biden and Sarah ‘You Probably Have An Opinion On Me’ Palin debated this last Thursday at St. Louis University in Missouri.  It was highly anticipated and pulled in an estimated 70 million viewers, even more than the first presidential debates pull of an estimated 53 million viewers.  It could have been the Thursday placement, but either way this VP debate can no doubt be called the most watched and anticipated debate in US history.

According to the polls, who did a better job?  CNN polls reports that 51% thought Biden did a better job compared to Palin at 36%, while 54% considered Palin more likeable compared to Biden at 36%.  Compared to her interviews with Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric, Palin came off considerably better and well rehearsed with no noticeable youtube friendly gaffes, but overall the night and the momentum went to the Obama-Biden ticket as they continue to pick up key-states in national polling.  The largest pickup according to Rasmussen is Obama’s current lead in Ohio over John McCain, a state that every Republican candidate ever to win the election has won.

Illclectic will update again this week after Tuesdays McCain-Obama debate in Nashville, TN.  We will be bringing an update to see how these debates ebb and flo peoples opinions of the outcome.
